Djee, this thing is huge. I wonder what the price ticket for something like this would be (if available for ‘normal’ users at all). A few million?

And… f/14? What good is that for taking photos of people in 18 mile-long darkened nightclubs? I suppose I’d also need a nuclear-powered flash!

Also, it calls itself 5200mm, but the specs say 5150. That’s a margin of error the size of my longest lens!

f/14 is a bit on the lame side, yes. Then again, a 5200mm/f1.2 would be about the size of the Hubble telescope, I reckon.
5200 just looks better than 5150, just as $1.99 looks better than $2.00. :-) And what’s a mere 50mm on that scale ? Nuthing, I tell you, nuthing ! :-)

Speaking of f/1.2 and Hubble telescopes, I’m lusting the Canon 85mm 1.2. Used one a while ago, managed to put it to the back of my mind, but have just been looking at a friend’s photos using it. The bokeh on that thing is nice enough to eat.
