More BandWidth Gobbling on that Sunday with one hour less…
Todays’ theme: hair.

God, I was so much in love with Marsha Hunt, way back in the 70ties.

Women with long hair equals goodness.

Disproportionality.

Plastic wind-up toys, Godzilla, Zero’s & tanks. What more can a boy want ?

Sid Mead’s RetroFuturism

28 March, 2008 (14:12) | art, design, future/retro | No comments

Wonderfully beautiful set of retro-futuristic illustrations from Sid Mead (Blade Runner anyone?), commissioned by United States Steel International in the early 60’s.

Those […]

First published in 1979 by Usborne Books, The Usborne Book of the Future was written by Kenneth Gatland and David Jefferis.
It has been scanned completely and is now made available through […]

Creepy Old Ads

11 January, 2008 (15:59) | WTF?, design, future/retro | No comments

Oh golly.
Ten creepy advertisements for you to enjoy.
I kinda like the coffee ad though (partly pictured above). Maybe I’m just kinky like that.

Oh gosh, how utterly neat.
Some of it came true, most of it… not.
At least, we had a clear vision on the future when I was exactly zero years old.

PS1: I loved the Emergency Unit at around the 1:40 mark.
PS2: And the music is swell too.
