Apparently there is something called “The Red Bull Music Academy” (in Canada), and I have no idea about the what/where/when whatsoever… Nevertheless, I stumbled onto a recent interview they did with one of their lecturers, a certain Don Buchla.
It’s a very long interview, and it takes some knowledge (about this particular scene), patience, […]

[click the image for a full frontal ehm, shot of BeoWolf]
Well, it’s finally done, my BeoWolf software-synth, the companion to my SteppenWolf sequencer.

Those […]

More musical goodness came to me…
Just acquired - by means of a jolly good 2nd-hand trade - two of my favourite soft-synths: GForce’s MiniMonsta, and Native-Instruments Reaktor 5.
Both instruments couldn’t be further apart, philosophy-wise. The MiniMonsta is a great Moog Minimoog clone on steroids (read: keyboard-oriented), and Reaktor is the mother-of-all-modulars in software form (read: […]

A collaboration with Manolis Kelaidis of IDE at the Royal College of Art.
Every object and surface in our environment has a whisper; subtle tremors and vibrations that are usually undetectable to the human ear, produced by the activity and movement of daily life.
What if these sounds were audible? How would that change our aural awareness, […]

Holy mother of Allah !
Look what has been found…
For those whom don’t know what a Buchla is, or what Ircam is, please skip and continue with your life.
For those who are in the knowing: please kneel before your God.
